Hyrule Days: Entry 3

Dear Diary,
Today I didn't hesitate. I went straight to the Deku Tree. It told me it had been cursed and it's death was imminent. I was shocked. Who would do such a thing to the forest guardian? Anyway it opened it's "mouth" and I went inside. I looked up and saw a large treasure chest. I opened it and found there was a map inside it. It showed me all of the inside of the tree. I searched  in some rooms and found another treasure chest. This one contained a slingshot. I soon found some hard little seeds that I could use as bullets. There was lots of spiders around but I soon took care of those. There was a hole in the middle of the floor covered by a huge web. Then I had an idea. There were a few high ledges around. I jumped off of one and landed In the centre of the web. I burst through. It was a long way down but I was ok because I landed in some water. There was some things that I had to do down there but I did those quickly. I made it to the final room where a huge spider-like creature called Gohma was waiting for me. I quickly and easily defeated her. A portal appeared where she had been. I stepped into it. It warped me to where I had been standing in front of the Great Deku Tree. He told me of the three Goddesses that had created Hyrule, he told me of  the Triforce and he told me of the Sacred Realm. Just before he died he entrusted me with the Kokiri's Emerald. He then told to leave the forest and journey to the castle and see the Princess. And then… he died. Goodbye faithful guardian. Feeling incredibly sad, I left the forest after saying goodbye to all my friends. I was crossing the bridge when Saria stopped me. She gave me her treasured fairy ocarina. After that I said my final goodbye to her then crossed the bridge. I stopped the entrance because I've decided to travel in the day. I will begin my journey tomorrow. More soon. Tash.
